My first bookclub 📚 The awesome people at my workplace have the right idea. They’re moativated to read, but they realize it’s a lot more fun if it’s a social activity.

We read Circe last month and I went down a greek mythology memory trip from the days of Percy Jackson. I realized I liked the storytelling component a lot more than I expected. Even though it was fictional (don’t ask the greeks, though), the feels from the book were very relatable. What really puts me off of a work of art is when I can sense the hand of the creator trying to evoke an emotion for the sake of it. This book wasn’t like that.

If you want to pick up a copy, then go for it.

I’m going to hunt down a copy of Percy Jackson to read. Today is the first day I put on the AC and it’s great. I’m off to read Educated by Tara Westover for next month’s meeting. Gn.
